I am going to review tablets first and, I am starting with the best in the class the one and only :

iPad Pro 

If you are looking for top notch tablet and possibly that is coming from Apple than look no further.  iPad Pro has everything you need and more. Unlike iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, which are both almost identical, iPad Pro comes in two variants. The smaller and more compact 9.7-inch,  and his bigger brother iPad Pro with 12.9-inch display. They were launched in the March of 2016. For this review I am testing smaller and more compact variant, the iPad Pro 9.7-inch.

Out of all tablets that I have tested  I found the iPad Pro 9.7-inch to be perfect for my style of living. I am the person that is traveling quite a lot, the weight and the proportions of the iPad Pro makes it perfect for trips.

iPad Pro is very thin and very lightweight making them easily to carry.  6.9 mm to be precise and weights 713g.

The iPad Pro follows the general design principles of the iPad Air 2, but on a significantly larger scale.

Physically the iPad Pro 9.7 is a close match for the iPad Air 2: weight and dimensions are identical, as is the general design.

iPad comes installed with iOS 9, and is upgradable to iOS 10.1.

It is coming with lots of new features like a new trick called “True Tone“. What  it does it adapts color-tone of screen based on the ambient of light around you.This makes reading in low light very comfortable. Screen resolution is 1536×2048 coming to ~264 ppi pixel density.

There is new sound system. There are four speakers, as opposed to the twin speakers on the iPad Air 2 (and those positioned too close together to have any real beneficial effect). This results in far more volume output, of course, and Apple says the device is also smart enough to adjust audio balance between the four units to maintain a consistent performance as you hold the iPad in different ways.

Rear-facing camera is now sticking out, and will get scratches if you lay your iPad flat on its back.It comes with 12 MP capable of recording in 4K resolution, and comes also with auto focus,dual-LED face/smile detection. About front-facing camera it is 5 MP resolution capable of recording in Full HD. The rear camera also is capable of shooting 4K video at 30fps now and Slo-mo video mode has been upgraded to 1080p at 120 fps and 720p at 240 fps. Before, we were limited to 720p at 120 fps. You won’t find any of these video features on its tablet competitors. Not even the 12.9-inch iPad Pro can do all of this.

It is run by  A9X 2.26 GHz dual-core processor and comes with 2 GB of RAM. About memory it comes in three variants as 32/128/256 GB.

It is coming with powerful Non-removable  10307 mAh (27.9 Wh) Li-Ion battery . With steady use it can last you more than a day.

iPad comes with fingerprint sensor,and making it only accessible to user that set the fingerprint

This can be useful if You don’t want anybody to touch  and sniff around your iPad, make purchases etc.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0′

If you are looking for awesome tablet and you don’t want to spend a lot of your hard earnt money on it, then this is tablet for you. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 models are the successors to the Galaxy Tab S range, a very popular and very good branch of tablets. It is released in September of 2015.

The feel of tablet is very nice, even tho the back is  made of plastic it has some kind of special premium feel to it. Basically it represents a metal cover.

Still staying on the outside of the tablet.

This tablet is only 5.6mm thick, and weighs around 265g.

Tab 2 comes pre-installed with Android OS, v5.0.2, and is upgradable to Android OS, v 6.0.1.

Screen on Samsung tablet is Super AMOLED 1536 x 2048 pixels making ~320 ppi pixel density. There is special feature to make it look even better. Its called: Adaptive Display ,which  can automatically adjust gamma, saturation and sharpness to your surrounding.

Second feature is Reading mode ,which finds perfect brightness for your eyes,adjusting the brightness of the screen to the brightness of your environment making it very useful for reading.

Tablet is run by: Exynos 5433 Octa-core processor and Mali T760MP6 for graphics,and also with 3 GB of RAM memory. With this hardware you shouldn’t expect any lag even if you play very very demanding games.

Memory inside tablet comes is 32 or 64 GB,and there is also memory slot that will allow you to extend to 128GB.

On camera field things are rather good. It comes with two cameras.

Front facing camera is 2.1 MP recording in 720p.

And rear-facing camera is  8 MP,equipped with auto focus and capable of recording in Full HD resolution.

Considering battery Tab 2 comes with Non-removable 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery. Which is rather weak battery.

With decent use your Tab 2 should last about a day.

Next on the list is Best seller and on that spot we have:

Fire HD 8 Tablet, 8″  

Amazon’s new Fire HD tablet may look a lot like his older brother 2014 -th Fire HD 8, but this bad boy brings some new cards to the table.

Body is made from plastic and the back have some nice vibrant colors.

It was released in September of 2015.

Word or two about dimensions. It is 214 x 128 mm, and it is 7.7 mm thin. Fire HD weight about 310g. You can  carry it in single-handedly with no problem.

Display is 8.0 inches IPS LCD screen, resolution 800 x 1280 pixels which bring us to about ~189 ppi pixel density. But it lacks the brightness and sharpness of some better tablets.

Internal memory comes again in two forms 16/32 GB version,but  you can extend that memory with micro SD card.

OS is Amazons Fire OS, is based on Android 5.1.1.  Fire OS runs Android apps, but, sadly  you can’t download Google apps in Amazon’s store.  You can use them thru your web browser. Also you can’t get Gmail, although you can connect your account in the built-in email app.

Fire HD runs by  1.3GHz quad-core processor and it is somewhat upgrade from previous model. About RAM capabilities Fire HD comes with 1,5 GB of RAM memory. This means that you can run smaller games with no problem, but you will fell the lag if you load some more demanding games.

Fire HD front facing camera has very low resolution and takes somewhat bad photos,you can use it for casual  video chat with your grandparents, but don’t try to take some stunning selfie.

Rear facing camera unlike front camera, is rather good, it takes photos that look fine on the 8-inch tablet. Overall cameras are decent for the tablet at this price range but not great.

One great feature of this tablet are its speakers. And what is better than one speaker on a tablet ? Of course it is Dual Speakers. Sound quality is very good and it is very very loud,and can create very immersive audio experience. There is lack of bass on tablet, but even without that speakers  are solid  9 /10.

First night I got this tablet for testing  and I laid down in my bed, thinking about what should I watch. Eventually I settled down to watch Game Of Thrones and everybody knows that epic opening scene, I cranked volume to the max and got absolutely astonished.

The volume, the purity, the quality was completely beautiful.

Amazon Fire HD 8 battery lasts for up to 12 hours of a charge. And this holds up very well, just don’t expect her to last for 12 hours when gaming of course. One problem with this battery is slow charging. It takes about five to six hours to fully charge.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite 7″ 

Samsung first introduced their Tab E line in 2015 with the release of 8-inch and 9.7-inch models. Then in March next year they have added the successor to this famous to this line.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E is at bottom of the barrel, last hole on the flute when it comes to hardware capabilities, but with that comes and low price point. 

Samsung has really made the name for him self out there.

Every time you buy a Samsung tablet or mobile you except well build design. And Samsung Galaxy Tab E don’t lets you down in this in this field. For tablet at this price range, somebody would think that is made out some cheap plastic, but no actually this is some decent made tablet.

You can always find cheaper Android tablet, in about 40$ or 50$ but they are usually just garbage.

About dimensions it is 193,4 x 116,4, and 9,7 mm thick. Again nothing outstanding.

Tab E comes with Android OS, v4.2. and currently it is not upgradable.

Screen is 7- inch TFT ,with 1024 x 600 resolution which bringing us to ~170 ppi pixel density. It doesn’t have very nice brightness and color, and the viewing angles are bad, and some colors like orange feel washed out, and looking from angles is very bad, but again this is not the most expensive tablet out there.

Physical of  Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite is rather typical.

At the bottom of the tablet you have physical Home button and at the sides two sensors for back and recent apps.

At the top there are 3.5mm headphone jack and charging port.

Hardware inside is decent for its price. Tab E Lite has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor,with 1 GB  of RAM, and makes thing go smoothly and nice.

Tab E comes with only one camera, rear facing 2 MP that shots decent quality shots for its price.

Tab E has 8 GB of internal storage, and it is expand to 32GB  with use of Micro SD card.

It has one speaker on the back with medium quality and decent loudness.

Battery life is one of better features of this tablet, and it can last up to 9 hours of use per charge.

Amazon Kindle Oasis

There is no doubt that Amazon Kindle Oasis is THE BEST e-reader money can buy. Amazon has really went all-in with this one. The premium experience has come with the price.

Kindle Oasis is very recognizable on the sight, but not on touch. It’s just 3.4 mm at one point and  at the other end at 8.5 mm.

You’ll be able to hold it for longer without strain due to it being very very light  131g. It’s 20 percent lighter and about 30 percent thinner on average than any other Kindle. No, I didn’t mead a mistake and accidentally put two different dimensions, but because  Amazon has gone for something called “wedge shape“. And what it does is that it puts majority  of the weight  in your hand, and this make for less strenuous time. No matter  in which hand you use it the screen will automatically adjust. As well as a new tapered design, the Kindle Oasis comes with a new cover.

It comes in Black, Merlot or Walnut and is made from real leather. It’s a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship. I found the Oasis easier to hold than other e-readers, and it was noticeably more comfortable to use for extended periods because of the cover.

There are two buttons on the front of the device  which are used for flicking through pages. Of course you can hit the screen to turn to the next page. Buttons are very useful when reading one-handed.

Amazon’s main goal is to make device that acts like a sheet of paper, and with this device they have almost made it.

Kindle Oasis has six inch display. It is cover by leather which attaches perfectly and covers additional battery. The Battery will last you for about 6 weeks no problem.

The screen on an e-reader needs to be of good enough quality that you can read for a long time without the experience becoming comfortable. Some early e-readers made reading a strain, and those without back-lights, such as the cheaper Amazon Kindle, can be really uncomfortable to use for extended periods but not this one. The big focus here is on brightness, and this screen features 60% more LEDs than any other Kindle you can buy right now.

This high brightness is useful when reading in direct sunlight, but sometime it could get irritating at night. But Amazon Kindle Oasis got you covered with wide range of brightness settings. Even more, you have 24 special brightness levels, that are useful for any situation.

The screen is excellent and very sharp  with a resolution of 1440 × 1080 px and pixel density of about ~300ppi.

The Oasis has the1GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM

Kobo makes  best alternatives to the Amazon’s  Kindle.

It may feel a little odd when you first pick up the Aura One, the large screen feels very natural to use, and you should get used to it quickly – and you’ll certainly appreciate it when you’re reading.

It has very thin and modern design. It is one of the thinnest e-readers you can buy.  The Aura One is certainly large at 195.1 x 138.5,and thick 6.9 mm.

It features simple design and has only one button,that is located on the back, and its function is to turn on and off e-reader.

Another big thing for Aura One is being Waterproof. So you can read it by the pool or the sea,without the fear of getting it wet. Aura One however is not dust-proof, and dust can easily get in your USB charging port, that is located on the rear of the device.

Aura ONE comes with  bigger 7.8 inch screen, if you like larger pages, but is still and can pass under tablets.The screen itself is very nice indeed it has 1872 x 1404 px. and that brings us to about 300 px per inch.That means text is very clear and easy to read, book artwork looks great and it has strong viewing angles.

Another feature about the screen is front lighting technology. That enables you to read with comfort in all kinds of lighting,and you can read it even with direct sun light coming towards you.

AURA ONE uses special thing called “ComfortLightPro”,which adjusts color of the screen to match the color of your surrounding,and this makes it very comfortable to read at night, making you sleepy. Everything is powered by 1GHz processor and 512 MB od RAM memory,which is speedy and power efficient.

It comes with 8GB internal storage, which is enough for storing about 6000 books. It is more open to other formats like EPUB, MOBI, PDF, TXT, HTML.

Battery life on AURA ONE is not great. Mostly because of big screen. You will get average about 10 hours of screen on time,with full brightness,with full charge.The battery will have to charge about hour or two to get that one hundred percent again.

This is very good tablet, especially if you like it big, only downside is that it doesn’t have page turning buttons, and rather poor battery life.

Best selling e-reader of the 2017 is the :

Amazon Kindle Voyage

This is the best buy e-reader on today’s market.

It has impressive high-resolution display ,it’s thin, it’s light and has great lighting system. What else could you wish for ?

It comes with 1,448×1,072 and 300 PPI screen, making reading very pleasant, and automatic brightness goes up and down according to the light of the environment.

It is unbelievable how sleek this e-reader is! With  dimensions of  162 x 115 mm,and thickness of 7.6 mm ,it makes it very compact and portable.

It features flush glass front and magnesium on the back. You would think that its glass front would get scratched, but that’s where You are wrong. Display uses a thing called “chemically strengthened glass” and it is pretty good at doing its job to keep the scratches away. At the sides there are pressure sensitive page-turn buttons on either side of the bezel.

This is powered by 1GHz processor and 4 GB of ram memory, and 4Gb of  built-in storage but you can’t expand it.

Light of the screen can be set to adjust automatically based on the light of your environment.

In terms of text layout and font selection. Kindle lacks fonts, font sizes and font weight tweaking; along with the ability to use custom fonts supplied with that specific book.

The Voyage, along with most Kindle eReaders, is compatible with Amazon’s Family Sharing system. This lets two adults (along with up to four children) share eBooks freely between them, so you don’t have to buy the same book twice.

Battery will last about five – six weeks with about one hour of reading each day.

But still this is one of THE best e-readers out there to buy at the moment.

The Kobo Glo HD is the main competition  to the Kindle Voyage,but it’s also cheaper than Kindle Voyage.

The black bezel has a comforting curve around the edges, but this time Kobo came with a dotted pattern rather than in the old style.

It has six inch display with same 300 PPI. It is also lightweight and nice backside made of silicon that offers some friction, makes it easier to hold in one hand.

The result is a device that is comfortable to hold for long periods, very easy to carry around and doesn’t distract with excessive buttons.

Outlay of the KOBO HD is simple. There is micro USB slot on the bottom for transferring files and charging. KOBO won’t win any beauty competitions any time soon.

Talking about dimensions it is 157 x 115 mm ,and thick 9.2 mm, and with weights 180g. It can fit into most top shirt pockets so its great for kids and travelers.

It has great feature called Pocket, which can be used to sync articles from the web for offline reading. It is like online bookstore integrated in the KOBO. If you love the long term reading articles, reviews or books on the web you can open a Pocket account, integrate it in into browser, and everything will be saved and visible on the KOBO HD so you can read it later.

But you can’t expand internal storage, Kobo Glo HD doesn’t have micro SD slot.

Lets talk about screen.

Screen is very sharp and very bright,so you can read it in the direct daylight.But it isn’t quite sensitive as it should be, so you will need to occasionally press twice in order to change a page.

KOBO HD is all about making you feel like you are reading a real book.

You can customise everything, from the font size and font family. There is also built-in dictionary and KOBO’s reading life, and what it does it awards you with notifications and achievements about how much you have read. If you don’t like the feature you can turn it off.

Each of them is powered by 1GHz processor.

It has access to KOBO online store, which has about four milion books at your disposal.

Battery life like on all e-readers is great. It can last up to two weeks (on full charge),using him all the time.
